Traveling as an analog photographer can be tricky. If you wait to develop and scan your film at home, you run the risk of having your photos ruined as they go through airport security. And who wants to wait that long, anyways?
Luckily in Albania, you can drop your rolls off to a number of reliable photo labs!
In Tirana, I dropped off 2 rolls to Foto Studio KOTONI.
1 roll of Fujifilm 400
1 roll of LomoChrome Metropolis 100-400
Within 4 days, I received an email with my high resolution scans. In addition to photography services, shops like these tend to also sell accessories. If you need a CR2 or a CR123A battery in Albania, this is the place to go.

Logistics
To get there, I used Google Maps (it isn’t listed on Apple maps). The store by Skanderbeg Square and the one in Laprakë both exist, though you should NOT go to the Google listing “Shtepija - Foto Studio KOTONI - Don Bosko” (there is no store here).
The total cost for 2 rolls (including scans) was 2000 Lek, which is about $20 USD. The store is cash only, so make sure to have Euros or Lek on hand.
Wherever in the world you travel, this is a fun way to preserve your memories, support the local economy, and connect to the photography scene.
Where else?
Though I have not tested these locations myself, I’ve done some investigating:
